Meet Our New Huntsman

Michael Purdy

 

 

Palm Beach Hounds welcomes Michael Purdy, our new huntsman. He has packed a lot of experience for a young man. He's hunted for nine years, whipping-in for eight with Gerald Pack, MFH, Greenville CountyHounds, for Chip Anderson, Huntsman, Tyron Hounds, Tot Goodwin, MFH, Green Creek Hounds. His last position was Prosfessional First Whipper-in, Windy Hollow Hunt.

He has worked on his family farm with a wide range of equipment, worked with horses in jumping, dressage, cross country, neck reining and several other diciplines. He also worked with various farm animals and livestock, built fences, kennels, bailed hay, as well as other various farm maintenance.

Michael also hunts his own small farmer's pack on foot, comprised of English, American and Crossbred hounds with some distant Penn Marydel blood.

His hunting experience has allowed him to hunt with English, American, Crossbred and Penn Marydel packs, as well as many other hunting hounds.

Michael also has some experience training retrievers and various other K9 breeds.
